Grace, who is a good friend of the two previous books' heroines is now alone on the island and lonely. Her old high school crush is now a chef, and comes back to the island to check on his brother who is working on a cooking software program, and rents the storefront next to Grace's bakery. Of course, they immediately run into each other and the romance is off and running. Patrick, the hero, has horrible memories of the island and wants nothing to do with it or with his parents. He's planning to just check on his brother, then immediately get back to his life. Of course, Grace throws a wrench into his plans. I love some good angst with my romances, and this one definitely delivered on that front. Patrick has to face up to all of the demons in his past before he can move on and find love. Grace is sweet and loving and perfect for him. I really enjoyed reading their story.Product details

EC is a great storyteller who creates characters that, for good or bad, tag along with you long after turning the last page.
Porter for good. Grace for bad. Grace left me disappointed. Her addiction to Colin robbed me of the ability to root for their "love." I wanted to want them together, but couldn't bring myself to do it knowing the very air she breathe depended on his existence. There's love and there's desperation. Hers was desperation.
Finishing the third & final book in this light romantic trilogy, has left me satiated as after a good meal. The like able characters overcome life's challenges enough to be successful in their love lives as well as their business lives. Nice, anyway you slice it ;)
I enjoyed the trilogy but liked Emily's story best, then Lynn's and finally Grace's. What I missed in the last book about Grace was little to nothing about Emily and Lynn in it. I read a trilogy wanting to know the connection continues. This time I feel something was lost in the story. Missing links.
After moving away from the island that brought him and his brother nothing but misery Colin if forced to return home. He comes home to find shocking news about his family and in the middle of everything he finds Grace, she's not a welcome distraction but at the end of the day Graces is exactly what he needs.
The author created characters I cared about. The book was a feel good book that held my interest. This is the third book in a series of excellent books. Anyone of these could be stand alone books, however reading them in order made the experience special. I loved that she gave THE recipe at the end.
I bought this to continue the series on a group of female friends that in time find love. This one seemed a little shorter however allows you to see and feel the emotions. To me that is what makes a book good knowing those elements and a smile crossing your face, or your eyes light up while reading. I love the journey . Biding want to know although I want to think this island exists...one more book to go, but I am going to wait soaking in the last three.
This was a really good book and the author created interesting characters. My heart went out to the h who'd been left behind after her 2 close friends make great marriages. She's on her own and feeling lonely when her school crush comes back to the island. The H is now a famous chef with the world at his feet but he is seriously affected by his background and as a result doesn't want a serious relationship. The h used to virtually stalk him at high school and he makes her feel bad about it but somehow they become friends through the story. He has to confront his very difficult and complicated family background and Grace helps him sort his feelings out. Towards the end he does the typical jack**s thing but does redeem himself. It's a good story
